2. a festivity or revel with drinking of healths.

3. Archaic. a song sung in wassailing.

1. to obscure or sully (something) by smearing or with a smeary substance.
2. to obscure by making confused in form or outline; make indistinct.
3. too obscure for the best of compilation. Four silly buggers who use to fall over a lot but now mostly make cheese and bore everybody to death.
